How records earn the right to ship.
Most lead-data providers treat methodology as a trade secret. We treat it as the product. Below is the end-to-end pipeline every owner record on Owner Leads Direct moves through before it can be sold — including the validation steps, refresh cadence and the explicit list of sources we will not touch.
The pipeline
1 · Source acquisition
Records originate from a layered mix of licensed B2B data partnerships, secretary-of-state and county-clerk filings, regulated utility/trade-license registries, first-party submissions and verified web sources (company sites, schema.org markup, public filings). We do not scrape consumer social platforms, do not buy from anonymous list resellers and do not accept records of unknown provenance.
2 · Identity resolution
Every inbound record is matched against our master business graph using EIN/DUNS, normalized legal name, address and trade name. Duplicates are merged with field-level provenance — we know which source contributed which field and when, so a single complaint can roll back exactly the fields it affects.
3 · Mobile & email verification
Phone numbers are validated through telco HLR/MNP lookups (line type, carrier, portability, disconnected status). Emails are scored against deliverability providers (SMTP probe, MX validity, role-account/disposable-domain detection, historical bounce). Records that fail validation are quarantined, not shipped.
4 · Active-business check
We compare each business against current secretary-of-state status, recent UCC filings, payment-processor visibility and trade indicators. Records flagged as dissolved, withdrawn or dormant are removed from active inventory.
5 · Compliance scrub
Before a batch is released we scrub against the National DNC registry, internal opt-out list, state mini-DNC lists where applicable, and any customer-specific suppression file. Records subject to known data-broker registrations (CA, VT, OR, TX) are tagged accordingly.
6 · Quality SLA
Internal target on shipped batches: ≥85% mobile reachability (rings to a live number), ≤3% hard-bounce rate on email, ≤2% out-of-business rate within 30 days of delivery. Defective records are replaced one-for-one within the 30-day window under the Sales & Cancellation Policy.
7 · Refresh cadence
Mobile re-verification: weekly on the active inventory. Email re-verification: every 14 days. Active-business check: every 30 days. State filing reconciliation: monthly. Customer batches purchased more than 60 days ago can be refreshed on request.
8 · Customer-side controls
Customers receive an audit-ready record manifest with every delivery (record count, sources contributing, validation timestamps, suppression scrub log). API customers can query the same manifest programmatically. We retain delivery logs for seven years to support legal defense.

Compliance built into the pipeline
Verification is half of the work. The other half is making sure every record we ship is legal to use the way customers actually use it — outbound dialing, SMS, AI-agent calls, email and CRM enrichment.
Verify it yourself
Every quality claim above is testable. Request a free pre-purchase sample, run it against your own verifier of choice, dial it through your own dialer and decide whether the SLA we publish matches the SLA we ship. No card required.
